Firmware/V7/Manual Downgrade

  1. This downgrade is ONLY recommended when experiencing problems with Version 7.X. The firmware will be downgraded from any V7.X to 6.5.13! During this downgrade process all required firmware parts will be stored on the phone's flash, i.e. the phone is fully operational after the downgrade and no additional manual update via TFTP is needed anymore. Be aware that all previous setting changes will be lost.
  2. Read this article before downgrading newly delivered phones from V7 to V6.
  3. Check the release notes for version 6.5.13 carefully!
  4. Perform the downgrade from V7 to Version 6.5.13 following the steps below:

IMPORTANT ADVICE: It is of utmost importance to execute step 1 of the following description before continuing with step 2!!! Otherwise it may result in a defective phone!

Part 1
Right-click on the following link and choose Copy shortcut:
snom300 snom320 snom360

Open the Web User Interface and navigate to the Software Update page

Paste the link into the Firmware field

Web User Interface -> Software Update -> Firmware

Press Load

The phone reboots and may ask you to perform the update --> Click

Note: Do not disconnect the power at anytime!
Check you firmware version afterwards
Part 2
Right-click on the following link and choose Copy shortcut:
snom300 V7.X --> 6.5.13 snom320 V7.X --> 6.5.13 snom360 V7.X --> 6.5.13

Repeat until !
