To update the snom M-series, you can either use your own web server or the snom M-series update server. For information on using your own web server, please see the Firmware page.

Note: If you don't specify the "Update firmware path" the snom M-series update server always uses the latest stable build of a version. The available firmware versions are listed in the table below.

How to Update snom M-Series phones Using the snom M-Series Update Server

  1. Please open the web user interface of your base station. (If you don't know the IP address, press the menu key and then type *47* on the keypad. If the handset has detected more than one base station, please compare the MAC address shown on the IP search screen with the MAC address on your base station.)
  2. Select Firmware Update in the left navigation menu.
  3. Use the settings Recommended Values from the table below :

  1. Enter the firmware update server address and any required handset and repeater firmware versions shown on the page.
  2. In the Update Base Stations section, select one of the radio buttons. The default is Update this Base Station only.
  3. Enter the firmware version in the text field of Required Version.
  4. Enter the branch number in the text field of Required Branch.
  5. Click on the Save/Start Update button to save the new values and start the update


NOTE:
The base station update may take up to 10 min.
Handset updates will start the next time each respective handset is placed into the charger.
