FAQ/Why do special language characters appear corrupted on my snom300 display

Answer

Issue:

  • Special characters used in certain languages are displayed incorrectly and appear to be corrupt. Only german umlaute (ä,ö,ü) are displayed correctly.
  • This occurs since the displays of the first snom 300 hardware design turned out to be incapable to show these special characters properly.

Workaround:

  • There is no workaround available. The issue has been solved on the new snom300 hardware design revision with MAC addresses starting from 00041328XXXX.
