DESCRIPTION
SYSTEM INTERNAL
This setting has been invented in order to stress the flash file system with save settings operations as less as possible. Frequent write operations to the flash file system may start the garbage collector of the file system which stopps the phone applications until the clean up process is done. Thus the phone may occurs frozen in this moment.
As long as this setting is left blank as the default value, the phone is saving changed settings in a minimal manner only. This means when one is unplugging the power the changes are lost. When the phone is rebooting triggered by a GUI or WUI event the setting changes will be stored regardless of the value of this setting.
The old behavior can be restored with a value of 20, which means setting changes will be saved after 20 seconds, if no further setting change has happened in between, which will restart the 20 second timer.
We urgently suggest to not use a value less than 20 and if you want to minimize the probability the phone freezes because of fs garbage collection, leave the value untouched!
this setting has become obsolete (see above), check out the "Further Information" link for alternatives.
