Introduction
The free function key types "Extension" and "BLF" (from V7.1.33) allow users to monitor the dialog state of another phone/user extension. This is indicated by the LEDs adjacent to the particular key. This feature is called "Busy Lamp Field".
Example Terminology:
- Ext 1 monitors the call status of Ext 2, Ext 3, and Ext 4
- The call status can be visualized:
- snom3x0/snom820: via LED's of free function keys "Extension" and/or "BLF" (from V7.1.33)
- via entries in the "Calls" window (ONLY on snom360, snom370, snom820 and snom870)
- if the call state of Ext 2, Ext 3, and Ext 4 is "Ringing" --> Ext 1 may pick up the call.
Configuration
Configure this feature according to this description.
Dialog States
The phone subscribes for the dialog state of the configured extension and receives notifications regarding to the state of the extension. The following dialog states are indicated by distinct LED behavior:
- Idle state --> LED off
- Ringing state --> LED blinking rapidly
- Busy or Connected State --> LED on
