FAQ/My country has changed the DST rules, how can I teach those to my snom phone

Answer

The phone´s firmware calculates the current time from the values of

• utc_offset
• dst

which are usually retrieved from a set of predefined "timezones".

If the timezone information has been changed or defined wrong, utc_offset and dst should be changed via Mass Deployment.

Example

The new dst value for applying the US timezone changes for 2007 is:

dst$: 3600 03.02.07 02:00:00 11.01.07 02:00:00
