Overview

WLAN support allows to connect your Snom USB port equipped IP phone to a wireless network.

Snom A210 WLAN Dongle compatibility

The A210 WLAN Dongle is compatible with D3xx and D7xx Snom phones.

Minimum firmware version needed is 10.1.29.1 which is available on the

Disclaimer for compatibility of third-party WLAN USB sticks

The information contained in this list is merely meant to assist you in finding a WLAN USB stick that may be compatible with your Snom desk phone. Please test any USB dongle you wish to use with a Snom phone prior to purchasing. Snom disclaims any liability for the accurateness, completeness, and currentness of the information published in this list.

Although due care has been taken in the compilation and presentation of the information on this list, the data upon which it is based may have changed in the meantime. In particular, but not excluding other possible factors, the software on the third-party product may have been modified unbeknownst to snom, resulting in restrictions to functionality up to and including loss of compatibility with the Snom phone.

The WLAN feature on D3x5 and D7x5 VoIP phones supports the following hardware models:

Starting with FW Version 8.9.3.60 support for following chipsets was introduced:

  • Realtek RTL8188 CUS
  • Realtek RTL8188 EUS
  • Realtek RTL8192 CU
  • Realtek RTL8192 EU

While other hardware models may work the following were tested OK:

  • Edimax: EW-7811Un (RTL8188 CUS)
  • EDUP: EP-N8508GS (RTL8188 CUS)
  • Netis: WF2123 (RTL8192 CU)
  • TP-LINK: TL-WN823N & TL-WN823N V2 (RTL8192 CU / EU)

Others that may work according to quick check results e.g:

  • Allnet: ALL0235NANO (Ralink RT5572 / Mediatek MT7601U chipset based)

The WLAN feature on Snom 7x0 and Snom 8xx VoIP phones supports the following hardware models:

  • snom WLAN USB Stick 802.11 b/g/n (no longer produced)

WLAN USB sticks using Ralink RT3070/RT2070 chipset can also be used:

  • Airlink WiFi b/g (not tested)
  • ALLNET (ALL0233RP, ALL0233MINI)
  • BIGtec (BIG120)
  • INTELLINET Wireless (150N USB) (doesn't fit to USB port, adapter cable required)
  • LOGILINK (WL49a)
  • TP-LINK (TL-WN727N)
  • Linksys WUSB100 v2 RangePlus (starting from 8.7.3.7 firmware)
  • Warning:
    • Belkin F5D8053 v3 - this is a RT2770 chipset and so doesn't work. This is what is supplied if you order Belkin today. You may need an older-version USB stick.
    • TP-LINK TL-WN727N comes in different versions. V3 has a Ralink RT5370 chipset and won't work!

The WLAN feature on Snom 7xx VoIP phones supports the following hardware models:

WLAN USB sticks using Ralink RT5572 and Mediatek/Ralink MTK7601 chipsets

  • ALLNET (ALL0233DB, ALL0235NANO) (starting from 8.7.5.17 and 8.7.3.25.12 firmwares)
  • TP-LINK TL-WN727N Ver. 4 has been tested with D765 and works.
