The keypad on snom phones is used to operate the phone. The keypad (including LEDs) is grouped in up to 8 functional units:

Freely Programmable Function Keys with LEDs (aka "Pkeys" or "Fkeys")
- The snom 300 has 6 freely programmable function keys.
- The snom 320, snom 360, and snom 370 have 12 freely programmable function keys each.
- The snom 710 and snom 715 have 5 freely programmable function keys each.
- The snom 720 has 18 freely programmable function keys.
- The snom 760 has 16 freely programmable function keys.
- The snom 820 and the snom 821 have 4 freely programmable function keys each. The snom 821 has an additional 8 freely programmable virtual function keys.
- The snom 870 has no hard function keys, but you can use one of the 15 freely programmable virtual function keys.
